“Electro rock cynics Keep Back Ivy release the video to Won’t Forget You, the first track from their upcoming EP, Where Are Are Going. Won’t Forget You sets the scene to the marching waltz of an electronic beat, rising into an explosive orchestral chorus that asks politicians ‘What are you good for?’ It is a brutally honest account of being young (ish) and left-wing in the Labour party.
‘I like to describe our music as expressing cynicism through song and I think this is especially true of this EP. It is about both main political parties, the media, and then us. Won’t Forget You is specifically about falling out of love with the Labour Party after being a member myself and asks those MP I worked hard to elect if they are there for power and power alone or whether they actually want to make a positive change.’
‘The video was especially fun to film as I got to rage in a field while Andy threw red fruit at me. It was pretty hard to keep raging and not laughing to be honest which I think is how I feel now about politics in Britain – if you aren’t laughing you’d be pretty miserable all the time.’ – Emma”
