Firstly your greeted by a dreamy, atmospheric introduction that smoothly transitions into a vocal tone that demands attention, effortlessly complimenting trembling synths and infectious rhythms.
From the first beat you feel immersed in brilliance and the chorus isn’t just catchy—it’s addictive. Ever since my first listen, it’s been stuck in my head like glue, and it’s the kind of hook that gets better every time you hear it.
Can we talk about the guitar solo? The tone is simply beautiful and it arrives right when you need it, even before you realise you do. With nostalgic 80’s nods Bonnie & Clyde is both stylish and commanding whilst still feeling extremely modern.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say while the track is undeniably a great pop song, it doesn’t push too far beyond what you’d expect from other songs in its realm. That said, it’s still one of the most polished and exciting tracks I’ve heard from an emerging UK band in a while.
Overall, Bonnie & Clyde is a great song. It leaves you wanting to hear more and is impossible not to enjoy. The song is without a doubt right up my street and it’s professionalism is obvious. CVC are definitely ones to watch in 2025, and I can’t wait to see them bring this track to life at one of their famous live shows.
