Zutons lead singer, Dave McCabe, has just released his newest solo single When You’re Young. It’s not hard to tell when a Dave McCabe song is playing as his iconic vocals shine right through, just like they do in this track!
With his beautiful ability to play guitar, the Liverpool singer has constructed a song that rolls off the tongue so effortlessly. It’s catchy, summery, and reminisces on being young. The lyrics ‘I woke up smiling, I was dreaming about the times we had’ and ‘putting on my dirty trainers, never knew where they would take us’ tells us that Dave has fond memories of his childhood and has taken us down the road of what his youth was like.
Throughout the song, there’s just a calm vibe. The instruments used aren’t hard-hitting, they compliment the style of this song. It’s as if you’re on a journey in Dave’s world. It’s truly a great track to listen to. Dave has done a brilliant job of creating a captivating tune as well as opening up through it.
