The single describes the difficulty of dating, and how relationships can be harder than they seem. When combatting unhealthy relationships, there are huge issues that can arise from them. Gemma Felicity’s ethereal vocals make this single almost a transcendental experience. Together, we travel through her experiences with her and are lost in the world that encaptures her EP. I believe she can use her voice as her weapon and as an outlet.
At 21, Gemma Felicity had a mysterious and complex illness and she found safety in her music. But since a young age, she has found this is how to express herself creatively. Through singing, performing and poetry too. This expansive experience, even at a young age, goes to show how hard work, along with natural talent has paid off and made this single such an earworm.
