‘You’re On My Mind’, the latest single from Ayrton Jimenez, is a slow dance worthy ballad which is instantly relatable to pretty much every human on this earth at some point in our lifetimes.
The lyrics are possibly the most beautiful part of this song, a really heartfelt song that genuinely feels like an instant classic all the way through the track!
This song wouldn’t sound out of place in a happy ending scene of a romantic comedy film, it just has that timeless sort of feel to it musically that not a lot of songs ever really achieve.
Although this track has so much beauty within it, the part which does slightly let it down is parts of the guitar and production of the guitar. The guitar does just seem to pop out a little too much, it’d be nice to feel more like the vocal is the main focus of this track rather than the confusion of whether the track might instead be guitar driven.
Secondly to this, the guitar solo is just slightly too long. It feels like it just doesn’t need to quite extend as far as it does, it could maybe end a few bars earlier and have a sweeter effect.
Everything else about this track is just pure beauty though, with all the makings of an instant classic and those so winsomely written lyrics, is incredible and a testament to the work of Ayrton Jimenez.
