Guest In The Car have just released their latest single You Are What You Own. Soothing and angelic, they create tunes in style of Radiohead for a whole new generation of rock fans. You Are What You Own is uniquely catchy and brings a totally new vibe to the rock genre.
After recently playing sold-out shows, this band has built up a dedicated fan base, allowing their fans to feel heard and seen as they write about their troubles that people can easily relate to. After listening to this song, I found it to be quite emotional with the vocals being so compelling. You can really hear the Thom Yorke inspired vocal work!
The song starts with an acoustic guitar build up with vocals entering, enchanting listeners from the get-go. As you get halfway through, we are introduced to the drums, bass, and electric guitar which is beautifully mixed together. I cannot fault this London-based band in any way as they have created a masterpiece.
The one thing I would say is that I wouldn’t listen to this song if I was having an extremely good day, I feel as though this song was made for certain types of emotions. It’s one I would have in a chilled out playlist or even a sad song playlist as I think in those types of moods you would be able to relate to the song more and even have a cry to it. Overall, this song is definitely targeted towards ‘OK Computer’ fans! To find more from Guest In The Car, click the link below.
