Just five months after the release of his last album Legacy, Christian rock superstar Ryan Graves is back with another compilation of eleven incredible anthems.
Entitled Human, this album has a stark message that Graves has poured into every inch of its creation: “Even though it’s tough being human, our humanity matters.” To further emphasise his ideology, Graves opted to produce this project all by himself, testing and transcending his capabilities as one man. And his efforts really shine through in its finish.
Upon first impressions, Human completely differs from Legacy. The album cover is more edgy and thought-provoking, with Graves staring into the eyes of listeners surrounded by zeros and ones. An ode to technology and the rapid growth of AI, many of the songs replicate that other-worldly feeling with their sound.

The album opens with upbeat alternative numbers Enemy and One Man, both composed of electronic beats and rap-style vocals separated by strong chorus sections that showcase Graves’s writing talents. It’s the first taste of his impressively slick production upheld throughout the album.
Darker streaks litter the landscape as Human plays on, with tracks like Fear of Man, Dissonance and 139 that have an almost dystopian sound to them. Graves’s intended themes of futurism mixed with humanity build all the way to the final track Grace that’s made up of edgy distorted guitar and tremoring alien-like vocals.
However, the Seattle-based Christian rock singer’s classic sound is not lost on this album, with gentler songs like Everything and Sophia. These lesser-produced tracks cut the seriousness to really accentuate the human element of Human.
This new album from Ryan Graves has put an unexpected but welcome twist on his identity as an artist. It’s worlds away from his previous release, but still in line with his personal values, showing his versatility while solidifying his signature sound.
Human is now available to stream on all platforms. For more information on the creation of this project, visit his website www.ryangravessinger.com.
