Hailing from Chesterfield, Hideaway Club is an indie four-member band that started in 2022, after its members played in the old local band The Time Sellers. They are dropping their self-titled debut EP, bringing a refreshing blend of melodic indie and alternative sounds. Their unique perspectives and musical talents create an enjoyable listening experience for a broad audience.

The EP kicks off with “All I’ll Say”, a compelling upbeat track that sets the tone for what’s to come. The vocals are emotive and convey a sense of introspection, complemented by well-crafted instrumentals. The song’s melodic hooks are catchy and leave a lasting impression.

Following up is “When You’re Down”, bringing a feeling of nostalgia while encouraging listeners to keep moving forward even during challenging times. This is the lead single of this EP and we can easily understand this choice.

Then, we have “Thinking Back” which delves into a nostalgic theme, reflecting on the past while embracing the present. The band’s ability to evoke emotions shines through and the lyrics resonate with the listener. The song’s contemplative atmosphere is complemented by the skillful use of instruments and vocals.

Concluding the EP is “Going Down,” which maintains the high standard set by the previous tracks. The band displays their musical cohesion and the songwriting remains consistently strong. The EP’s closing track leaves a lingering impact, making it a memorable end to the musical journey.

Overall, Hideaway Club’s EP showcases their musical versatility and talent as they seamlessly blend elements of melodic indie and alternative genres.
