Moody, dreamy, and dripping in that classic indie glow. London Town by HEALER is one of those songs that wraps around you gently and doesn’t let go.
Right from the first strum, there’s something immersive about it. The rhythm guitar pulls you in further and further with intent, almost like it’s inviting you to just feel for a bit. It’s got that sunset energy. Staring at the sky, golden skies, you get the picture.
It leans heavily into that indie rock blueprint, and honestly? I’m here for it. If you’re into guitars, smooth tones, and emotionally led vocals, you’re in for a treat. The lead and rhythm guitars really complement each other not fighting for space, just vibing in sync.
Undoubtedly the vocals are a definite highlight. Crisp, well-rounded, and delivered with a sense of real presence. There’s a coolness to it, but it’s not detached. It feels like it means something and it feels authentic.
On the other hand, could it be a bit more dynamic? Sure. While a twist or change-up in the second half might’ve elevated things a touch. The rhythm section is solid, but a little more movement in the beat or bassline could’ve added another layer. Still, it knows what it’s doing by letting the vocal lead the way.
Overall, London Town is a lovely listen. Atmospheric, well-crafted, and full of potential. It leaves just enough mystery to make you want more. I’ve got a feeling HEALER’s got more to give and honestly i’m excited to find out what that is!
