We review the new single ‘Alive’ by Tommy

A promising track that will instantly get your head swaying to its charismatic rhythm, ‘Alive‘ is a euphoric number that specialises in leaving you wanting more from Tommy.

Sounding somewhere between Miles Kane and The Wonder Stuff, Tommy is certainly bringing something new to the table, and that’s exactly what the music industry needs more of. Energetic and sounding like something straight out of the nineties, the track is produced by legendary producer Gavin Monaghan of Magic Garden Studios (Editors, Ocean Colour Scene, Robert Plant).

For a debut single, this is a strong response. Explaining how the global pandemic and splitting from lifelong band Arcades has influenced him as an artist, ‘Alive’ is a statement that Tommy means business.

A powerhouse tune that could be sung to masses across the globe, there’s something for everyone buried within this track. Stating it’s just what every party needs, it’s true – this could easily get people singing along, dancing and grinning too, Tommy is stating this is the time to feel alive.

Easily one of my favourite tracks of the year so far – no competition.
