Based in Orlando, Florida, Craymo gives us feel good vibes, pride and something to dance to. Having previously worked on the club scene as a DJ he definitely knows his beats. Now he writes his own music, and has even directed a music video. Craymo is a huge advocate for peace, equality and unity, to the point of including these themes within his music and videos.
Tear Me Apart opens up with pure 80’s club vibes. You can imagine this track playing whilst you have your colourful drink in your hand, dancing away on some sticky floors. The song has a really fun and easy to pick up clap along section, which is great and will get even the most moody of listeners involved.
Personally I’m not a huge fan of some effects being layered onto vocals, however I can appreciate there is a time and a place for them. Craymo perfectly demonstrates this by slotting them into Tear Me Apart. Despite the fun beat of this track the lyrics are actually quite emotional. This is a prime example of Craymo’s advocacy for unity and peace. The chorus is extremely catchy, and I can imagine this song will be the soundtrack to a lot of British bbq’s when the time comes. It’s upbeat and easy to learn.
Toward the end though, I personally feel that the vocals sound a little out of place. Not due to any effects but they feel slightly out of time. Whilst the beat does also briefly slow down and become a bit more subdued, to me personally the vocals just don’t fit quite right. When the last chorus kicks in though the dance vibe we have enjoyed is well and truly back, closing the song off nicely.
Overall this track gives perfect summer clubbing vibes, and I think will be a staple for many when the sun starts to shine again.
