WE REVIEW THE NEW SINGLE BY PEACOCK METHOD – SLOWLY
Peacock Method are bringing their second single, emerging onto the Manchester scene, implementing elements of funk and pop.
Slowly, utilises minimalistic instrumentation, whilst keeping the energy high. The funk-styled bass pulls the track forwards throughout the song, with the guitar bouncing off.
Somewhat reminiscent of a Daft Punk style track. The excellently written parts work in tandem to create a very danceable disco track.
Something that would benefit this track, however, is the drum pattern changing a little. As it stands it works well to keep the track moving, the very simplistic and repetitive nature of these type of drums means the lack of fills or change ups the drums go through is more noticeable.
On the whole, this track is a fantastic example from this band, demonstrating fantastic skill and ability. Harnessing the energy of artists like Daft Punk, whilst keeping the chill disco pop element is a fantastic achievement from these guys, and I cant wait to see more.
