See How’s ‘Do It’ is a summer anthem if ever I heard one. House music at its best, this track glows pure euphoria. Capturing summer in the palm of his hand, See How blends multiple genres to create a song that’s happily going to sit at the top of my dance playlist for months.
The only thing I could say about the track is that the lyrics are quite repetitive. Nevertheless, it’s memorable. You won’t be getting this earworm out of your head anytime soon. Raising the bar from his last track, and I reviewed that song on a different blog, the second single is innovative and a walk in the park for this talented beatmaker.
The production is fierce and considering this is a second release from a growing artist, the future is looking bright. A glistening songwriting skill yet still simple, the complexities lie within the instrumentation. Mixing this track probably was an adventure in itself.
The beat is the sort of style you’d hear from the early ’00s, especially when Craig David was behind the mic, or Daniel Bedingfield. It’s old school, but the production says it’s not. Nudging yesteryear but looking hopeful, the industry has taken a turn for the better. If the charts has music like this from here on out, I’d be happy with that – especially over the summer!
Disclosure and Jamie xx should check out See How straight away, I can smell the best collaboration you’ll hear this decade happening in a matter of time.
