ASK MY BULL

WE REVIEW THE NEW SINGLE FROM ASK MY BULL – F-THEM

With one utterly frantic pace Manchester based ‘Ask my Bull’ take no prisoners soundwise, and that’s for sure. With a cataclysmic sound that’s quirky, eccentric and brilliantly bonkers this is one powerhouse of sounds and genres that collide. It certainly has a hugely motivational force and is addictive.

It feels surreal, bursting with its own Technicolor boldness. Fast paced jazz, set to drum and bass beats, think brass to a Prodigy beat and baseline, with at times crunching and jagged guitar lines reminiscent of a heavier genre – Limp Bizkit maybe? Rave ready with an abundance of energy, real get up and move type feels. It’s a hard hitting sound with an almost vision like sense and such a flamboyant feel.

A high vibrational and triumphant sound of brass, it’s an obvious ska sound with its bouncing themes, hard core jazz with flare. Lively, upbeat, banging beats; these tracks are to dance to. When I listen to Ask my Bull it’s slightly other worldly, or like some fever fuelled hallucination to some other realm in fast forward, all in the best way! Danceable, ferocious and unwavering in its energy, very impactful and very addictive.
