We review the new single from BAYLEY – Raffles

Capturing the bedroom pop sound with ease, London artist BAYLEY brings us his brand new single ‘Raffles’.

We’ve reviewed BAYLEY’s music before here at RGM, discussing his previous single ‘DreamEasy’, noting his well-produced, lo-fi sound that was complimented nicely with intricate lyricism and catchy melodies.

There’s no change when it comes to ‘Raffles’.

We have once again been provided with a track that could slot straight into any summer’s day playlist without question. You can see that’s what BAYLEY is going for. He certainly has his sound.

The biggest worry for him now should be trying to stand out. There’s a sea of artists making mellow summer tunes that could easily get lost in the crowd, and for many, standing out can be a daunting task. BAYLEY should just make sure he’s making music for him and music that has his own personal stamp on it. If people can see personality and care in the songs then there’s no reason why it won’t twig their ears.

With an already extensive back catalogue of work after just a few years, I’m sure we can expect to see more new music from BAYLEY in next to no time.

If he can continue to provide us with groovy pop tracks like ‘Raffles’ then his fanbase will only grow, but that’s all in his hands. All you have to do is sit back and listen to the music as you enjoy the ever-present British sunshine (or the sunshine wherever you are in the world).

Give ‘Raffles’ a listen down below, and let us know what you think!
