Have you ever drifted away from someone who was once a massive part of your life and you can’t stop this inevitable change? Well, Big Image have released a song based solely about this happening and how you can’t stay 18 forever.
The Birmingham based 4-pieced band has captured the eyes of many including Radio X with this new track, it is easy to understand why these guys have 5,000 followers on social media. It’s catchy, it has the essence of early 2000’s indie, and it is simply a great song to listen to. The vocals by George fit the song perfectly, with reverb that works tremendously well. The drums by Seb are unmissable, hitting every beat impeccably. Then we have Luke on bass and Connor on guitar which both are played with liveliness. This song is like a breath of fresh air for our generation. It’s definitely a song that would have been played in TV shows like Skins or Inbetweeners it is just so 2000s and I admire it enormously.
The composition doesn’t only remind me of the early 2000s, it also has a pop-punk edge. The song can be compared to something that Neck Deep would release as well with the slow build-up at the start of Changing then going straight into the track. Big Image have created a song that potentially anyone can enjoy, no matter what music genre is your favourite!
With this being said, and I truly do think this is a great track, I think the vocals could be less monotonous. In places the vocals have the same feel to them. It doesn’t take anything away from the song, but within the song you can hear the vocals being sung in the same range, it would have been nice for the vocals to potentially be a little bit more energetic and have more passion.
Don’t miss out on what is to come from Big Image! Get following this lovable band as you never know, they might just become your new favourite band.
