The first release of 2025 for London / Athens based artist D3lta is titled ‘Lonely Together’, a product of self-reflection and deep thought. With an album release set for October this year, D3lta has set the bar high with a unique blend of hopeful instrumentation and hard-hitting lyricism.
‘Lonely Together’ sets the mood straight off the bat, introducing a guitar riff awfully reminiscent of Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’. The verses contains lyrics depicting loneliness, loss of confidence and the feeling of having no way out before exploding into a Bowie-esque chorus and exploring the idea of being “lonely together”. A stunning example of his vocal power and his ability to tackle difficult subjects throughout his creativity, D3lta shows exactly why he’s seen the levels of success he’s seen in recent years.
Though a beautifully crafted song, there are moments that feel slightly to commercial for the song’s overall vibe and it feels as if D3lta is trying to replicate the sound of pre-existing songs instead of letting his creativity flow naturally. Luckily it works here, however the potential for the music to sound bland is higher than it should be. Otherwise a brilliant song, ‘Lonely Together’ captures the feeling of being lonely perfectly and explores the human condition through it’s melodies.
After previously touring with Scouting For Girls, D3lta will no doubt expand on his popularity with ‘Lonely Together’, introducing the themes of his upcoming album perfectly. A great track, and with a tad more sonic exploration, D3lta could be HUGE.
