New alternative rock band Fathers Moustache have just released their first single Poster Boy and what a belter of a rock song it is.
Formerly known as Rosella, Poster Boy is the first track to be released under their new name. It’s an alt-rock anthem and carries the essence of Nirvana, Deftones, Soundgarden, and many more 90s iconic grunge bands. These 4 Leeds lads know how to write an outstanding track.
The song starts with a bassline, easing into a heavenly guitar riff and gets heavier as the intro goes on. We are then greeted to the pitch perfect vocals, so suited for this song. As the song builds up to the chorus, it get heavier and more grungier with the guitar and drums becoming hard-hitting. The bassline is more prominent too. It all fits so well together, I genuinely never wanted this song to end!
The song ends how it started, making you want to replay it over and over again. They really have put a lot of thought into this original track. It’s like a breath of fresh air hearing something so unique nowadays.
These talented young men definitely deserve all the credit they can get. This is one of the most brilliant grunge songs I have heard for a long while. It’s catchy and written so well. I honestly cannot discredit this band at all other than it needs to be longer! It’s for sure going to be a hit. I don’t know about you, but I’m adding it straight to my Spotify playlist!
