WE REVIEW THE NEW SINGLE FROM FLOODHOUNDS – NEAR-LIFE EXPERIENCE

Sheffield‘s Indie rock trio, Floodhounds, release the much awaited track, Near- life Experience. Bursting with jagged guitar riffs, driving bass lines and wild, wild drums this indie rock trio leave you with punk inspired tunes that will leave you long after the gigs. For fans of Kid Kapichi, Royal Blood and White Stripes this band is for you – and they’ll even join you at for a pint at the bar.

Near-life Experience is a powerful track that urges a jaded soul to re-ignite their spark as they claim back their passion for life, much like the band. Lead Singer and Guitarist Jack Flynn talks about how the “riff came first” and describes how the song delves into the struggles of feeling numb through their lyrics and how we should always sieve the day and hold onto all those memories that keep you alive. With every re-listen to the song, the lyrics hit home even more.

The trio  have played live all over the country and put on their own headline shows, playing sets on the festival circuit at Isle Of Wight Festival, Brighton Alt Escape, Liverpool Sound City, Live at Leeds and Tramlines fringe, as well as sold out support slots with the likes of Kid Kapichi, The Blinders, PINS, Projector, King Nun, Strange Bones & Calva Louise and sharing festival stages with Demob Happy, Saint Agnes, False Heads & The Mysterines.

Near-life experience is a familiar and fan favourite for all those fans new and old.
