London based alt-rock outfit Guest In The Car return with moodily atmospheric new single, Let Them Know. The third track they have released since their inception, its hypnotic, almost haunting overtones draw you instantly and keep you gripped throughout its three-and-a-bit minute lifecycle.
Built around a wonderful driving drum beat and an eerie guitar soundscape, Let Them Know excels equally in the aura it creates and the impressive composition of its musical content. Similarly to their previous releases, it again combines the atmospheric with the anthemic to create a track which is both enchanting and memorable, unquestionably succeeding even more so than with their two former efforts.
What Guest In The Car do so brilliantly, not just here but in all their releases, is blend together the complex elements that go into their sound so meticulously. The rumbling bass, the persistent riffs and most of all the echoing vocals all come together so perfectly in a display of songwriting well beyond their years.
In an interview with us at RGM they spoke of their belief that they are on the way up, and that’s certainly starting to come to fruition. As new tracks keep coming, they seem to be honing their sound and improving exponentially, and there is no sign of it slowing down. They are definitely a band to keep your eye on in the coming months and years.
