Hollins

WE REVIEW THE NEW SINGLE FROM HOLLINS

Darwen indie five-piece Hollins return with this vibrant new track, She Said.

With strong Madchester influences, this is a track which conjures up imagery dancefloors flooded by baggy jean cladded dancers. Driven by its infectious rhythms, it infuses those familiar Hacienda inspired rock sounds with more a more contemporary indie sound.

Based around a moment of connection in an otherwise uncertain life, She Said excels its relatability and honesty, much like their previous releases. With a typical northern cutting edge, they describe an experience many of us can relate to, but still manage to do it with the wonderful swagger we’ve come to expect.

Their sound really lends itself to live performance. As soon as they hook you, you start picturing how good it would be to hear their tracks, and especially She Said, in a live performance. Having been described as electrifying with their performances, they now have a much anticipated This Feeling gig to look forward to next Saturday (28/09) in their hometown of Darwen which is surely going to be a memorable one. Tickets are still available here.

Hollins have gone from strength to strength with each release so far, and She Said is simply another step on their journey. It is their catchiest and most complete tune to date, and you can’t envisage their climb stopping any time soon.
