InRetrospect have released yet another banger for all you metalheads to enjoy! TOXIC isn’t just a song, it’s an experience.
The 5-piece band have toured all around Europe and have shared the stage with the likes of Skindred. This band is phenomenal live. They give so much energy wherever they go and their performances are unforgettable.
TOXIC is all about substance abuse which captures the feelings of being hooked onto certain drugs sublimely and regretting ever touching it. These lyrics are right from the heart and have meaning to them, which just makes me love the song even more than I already do. The instrumental is a mix of metal and electronic, gripping you as soon as you listen to this track. As soon as the song starts it grabs your attention with the instruments being so enthralling.
The drums, guitar, and bass are so in sync, they really stand out in this track. We are then greeted to the vocalist, whose voice is mesmerising and fits the track perfectly. Not only does this band include singing, they include the rawness of the metal vocals, which will have you majorly impressed with this band.
This track is beautiful and compelling. It truly gives you an insight to what people with addictions go through. As well as the band being insanely talented, they are spreading awareness of a major problem people face on a daily which just makes me respect this band even more than I already do!
