We review the new single from Josh Collins – Lemonade
London based rising star Josh Collins has received support from BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6 and Soho Radio, and we’re not surprised in the slightest. Following in the footsteps of the successful debut EP ‘Porky Pies’, Josh returns with another tasteful contender, ‘Lemonade‘.
A gorgeous bedroom pop number that continues the summer vibes going while we move into Autumn, the track suggests there’s nothing better than a glass of lemonade on a hot summer’s day. Energetic in its message and radiating feel-good vibes throughout, ‘Lemonade’ feels like a blessing as the cold weather enters the UK.
A quirky offering that uses a very basic arrangement and production, ‘Lemonade’ clearly states that simplicity is sometimes key. All you need is a fantastic vocal melody, a guitar and a few hands clapping to create a beat, and you’re away.
Raw and attentive, the track feels like caffeine that you can’t get enough of. Something you can relate to with past summers, the track feels nostalgic and reminiscent of good times we’ve all had before.
There’s the only thing we could say for improvement and that is… we need more music to enjoy Josh.
When life gives you lemons? Drink lemonade and listen to Josh Collins.
