Those post-punk vibes from the 80’s are being revived with modern bands such as Keyside who have just released their latest track Rock My Love. If you’re a fan of The Smiths’ musical talent then Keyside are the one for you.
Rising from the Harbour of Liverpool, Keyside are a four-piece post-punk band who have many sold-out shows amongst them. Their lyrics consist of realism and vulnerability, making them a genuine and loveable band many can find comfort in.
Their single Rock My Love is an unforgettable tune. It will have you singing along in no time. With an instrumental so catchy, you will not be able to sit still whilst listening to this track. It doesn’t just sound good, it immerses you into the world of Keyside, with their lyrics coming from the heart. The talented young lads surely do have a bright future in the music industry. As I have said previously, these lads can be compared to The Smiths, but the vocalist has a voice of his own. It’s nice to hear a voice I can’t compare to anyone. He sounds very authentic.
The balance of an upbeat instrumental and heart-felt lyrics give this song the perfect mix of it being melodic and moving. The twang from the guitar and the stable foundation of the bass guitar make flawless room for the vocals and soothing drums – basically everything in this song sounds tremendous together.
It’s hard to not like this song. The only critique I have about this song is that it isn’t long enough. This track has sold me, I’m off to discover more from Keyside!
