We review the new single from Lissy Taylor – She’s a Stunner

Bright and euphoric, the new single from Manchester based singer songwriter Lissy Taylor comes bursting through the gates with the huge chorus of her new single. Soaring guitar licks collide with crashing drums to provide an anthemic bed of textures for Lizzy’s vocals to sit atop.

An empowering anthem about strong women, this track allows every listener to be the main character, giving good vibes all around. Taylor delivers her positive lyrics with an incredibly strong vocal performance.

There’s no hint of doubt here, Taylor is giving her all to the track. This energy is reflected in the instrumental, ‘She’s a Stunner’ is confident and unapologetic, the perfect sound to accompany the uplifting and emboldening lyrics.

For fans of Sam Fender. Taylor pairs memorable melodies with strong vocals and ripping instrumentals, showing the power of a simply powerful song. ‘She’s a Stunner’ is gimmick free, the music doing the talking.

Opening up with the chorus, Taylor lets us know she’s not here to mess around on her new single. The verses sit quieter, the guitars falling away to let Taylor’s vocals stand out in the mix. When the chorus returns, the guitars come ripping through the buildup of the bridge.

The chorus is an onslaught of guitars, a euphoric cacophony celebrating strong women that inspired the song. Filled with interweaving textures, Taylor still achieves plenty of space in the mix, a balance that is hard to maintain but is done excellently throughout ‘She’s a Stunner’. Never too crowded, each component of the song is given space to be heard and noticed, which is fantastic because there are some brilliant moments on the guitar, melodies that sparkle and pop as a beautiful contrast to Taylor’s vocals.

She’s a Stunner’ is the second single to be released from Lissy Taylor’s upcoming EP, a collection of four tracks, and it has certainly made me excited to hear the followup tracks.

Already having completed a headline UK tour, there are big things on the horizon for this promising artist who was named as one of This Feelings Big in 2022 rising stars.
