When I first heard the title of the track was ‘Cowboys’ I was very intrigued to know what kind of track could arise from a title like this. But it turns out Myriad like to use quirky titles with previous examples coming from ‘Red Hoodie’ and ‘Oxytocin’. Myriad have had a very successful 2025 with the release of their fourth E.P. which cemented them as a firm favourite along the south coast. That and support slots with The Hunna, festival appearances at the Isle Of Wight Festival and Teddy Rocks has set the momentum for their rise going into this year. ‘Cowboys‘ is Myriad’s first offering in 2026 as part of a variety of different releases coming out on the supernatural Friday the 13th.
The track offers a more mellow, fragile change in pace compared to their usual work but combined with their characteristic bouncy choruses. The sparkly guitar riffs make you feel like you could be floating through the clouds as soft vocals dance around your ears in the verses before launching into exciting choruses that feel reflective of the realisation that the song narrator realises, they want that special girl to be cowboys together with them.
‘Cowboys’ is a heartfelt song that explores young love and growing with a new person. This only feels apt with Valentine’s Day being this weekend! This track provides a glimpse into what is a good precedent ahead of their next E.P. “Notes She Never Read” which is out on the 20th March so make sure you keep an eye out for that and give it a presave!
