WE REVIEW THE NEW SINGLE FROM PATCH THE SKY – DISINTEGRATE

Dutch band Patch the Sky’s new single “Disintegrate” is a fusion of rock genres, showcasing influences from 70s prog, 80s wave, and 90s alternative to creating something unique.

The track starts on a peaceful note with laid-back guitar elements and it gradually builds momentum, leading to a powerful chorus. While the song is exactly 6 minutes long and it can seem long at first sight, it doesn’t get boring or repetitive thanks to the band’s skills. The song’s progression keeps us engaged from start to finish. It’s probably due to the fact that the 5 members spent over three years perfecting the song. Indeed, they allowed the track to evolve through writing sessions and live performances for the perfect result.

To make things even better, Patch The Sky graced us with an appealing music video. The video starts by focusing on someone’s daily life, from getting their newspaper to preparing breakfast and going to work – over and over again until the middle. Then, it integrates glimpses of the band members performing the song as the video progresses. Just like the song, the video makes sure it doesn’t get boring.

Overall, ‘Disintegrate’ is a good rock song that showcases Patch The Sky’s unique signature sound and keeps us yearning for more.
