REDEARTH - OTHERSIDE

WE REVIEW THE NEW SINGLE FROM REDEARTH – OTHERSIDE

Still relatively new in the world of music, Redearth have released their second single of the year, Otherside. With a few other tracks under their belt since 2024, the band have been forming a name for themselves. Otherside is one that will definitely help their case, standing out for all the right reasons, the main one being that it’s an absolute tune.

There is something quite moody about the opening. It’s incredibly catchy and creates a sense of build up effortlessly. You get lost in the inexplicably sad feel of the instrumental, that feeling of reminiscing about the past, but you can’t quite pinpoint why the song elicits that. Then the vocals join and it’s so complimentary to the sound, really drawing you in.

The vocals take centre stage when they join and you can’t help but focus on them. They are genuinely like honey; clear and smooth, making it easy to listen to. Everything about this track makes it an easy listen, and it’s hard to fault a song that everyone could enjoy.

The structure of the song is simple too. Verse, chorus, verse chorus. The final chorus is extended, punctuated with an instrumental and the title sung several times in between until finish. A classic way to end a song, but in this case, one that makes the song appear shorter. The band could have easily opted for another verse and another chorus, because now you just yearn for more of this brilliant track.
