In the run-up to the release of his second studio album, Scott Lloyd presents the wonderful and heavily acoustic-focused piece, In The Water.
The Middlesborough musician provides both a calming and reflective vibe on a song that has been written and rewritten over the course of two years.
The acoustics are warm and the vocals resonate emotionally and maturely over the beat and rhythms.
It’s a song about learning from mistakes with a sense of anticipation in the build-up to the chorus. Whilst listening to the track you feel as though Lloyd is learning and getting over his problems.
It’s an easy-going acoustic piece with visualising lyrics that feel personal and relatable, perfect for an acoustic act.
Lloyd’s second studio album is due out in Autumn and I very much look forward to hearing his soulful and soothing warm tones in more detail.
