Big Wow - Spook Muziek

WE REVIEW THE NEW SINGLE FROM SPOOK MUZIEK – BIG WOW

Sheffield’s own Spook Muziek has given us an insight to his newest single “Big Wow”.
Spook Muziek isn’t his real name of course, it’s a project that’s the brainchild of musician and producer Adam Follett.

The track doesn’t waste anytime, it’s a very quick beat, giving a techno feel initially, with some lazer special effects, the vocals soon follow, and the vocals are unique, it’s not the style I’d have initially put with this style of track, but in all honesty, it’s different and it works.

It’s conversational and almost like a bit of spoken word, it does elevate towards more sung vocals and the mix of it is interesting, and even goes into like a tannoy like announcement at one point.

One thing that is completely clear is that this is not a boring track, it’s so opposite, and whilst it’s wild and wacky, it does keep you engaged and to be honest, I wanted to listen just to see what came next, because you just can’t guess or gamble on it.

The lyrics, like the rest of it, are complete madness, but I’m not mad about it, I can see people raving to this, at Warehouse Project, in their room or wherever they see fit realistically.

It’s high-energy, has big beats and insane lyrics, but I had a great time listening to it, it’s the perfect length, and after listening after a long day, it was perfect to boost my energy.

“Big Wow” is literally what it says on the tin and I need to go and compress what I just heard, but in the best way possible.
