STREAMER’s latest singles, Interlude – Origin (Part 1) & Interlude – Hold On (Part 2) are stellar. With feverish excitement, following the anticipation of their previous release ‘Festival’ last October. Citing their influences as Underworld, Faithless, and Chemical Brothers, it’s a sure recipe for success and brilliant vibes. Entwining heavier electronica with stellar guitars, within the likes of Coldplay and Pink Floyd creates a distinctive indie trance sound.
However, Interlude is a timely demand for politicians and leaders to reign in war rhetoric and anger, and seek peaceful outcomes. Alongside the release, STREAMER says, “Interlude started out as a reflective, cinematic instrumental, to give us and our audiences a bit of a breather! It soon became an anthem about reigning in war
rhetoric and anger, and harnessing peace instead.”
Equally important, STREAMER are putting out what is an undeniably important message, their gripping hooks and riffs make it part of their live experience, between the crazy, heart-pumping relentlessness of their discography. Their tilt into EDM music makes for an incredible gig atmosphere, as they layer blended vocals, and use their cross-generational ideas to create something truly unique. With experience, skill, and fresh youthful spirit on their side, their musicality cannot be denied.
STREAMER is comprised of Tom (vocals, guitars, and keys), Jez (bass, BVs, and keys), and Tom’s son Freddie (drums
and percussion). Because of the mix of ages, ideas, and energies these all contribute to STREAMER’s complex soundscape. Alongside this, Interlude features a rich combination of organic and production instrumentation that hints at and builds on melodies and is characterised by multi-harmony vocal textures and searing guitar. On the contrary to typical indie, Interlude showcases a full orchestral arrangement that dances with modern electronica.
