Manchester band The Fairway are back with their newest track Remember Those Nights. It’s catchy, upbeat, and extremely Mancunian!
The 4-piece band have certainly not changed since I last reviewed them. Keeping up their streak of the Indie vibes and giving listeners exactly what they want! the instrumental being powerful and the vocals talking to the listener, it really immerses you into this bands world. This tune will make you want to dance like mad and jump around like no one is watching.
The song reminisces on youth, not having a care in the world, and getting away with the most ridiculous things without consequences. It will certainly make listeners reflect on their youth and how time has changed. I think this sentimental touch to the song is nice as it will make more people connect with the band.
The song opens up with guitar and a drum beat that slowly works its way into the vocals, which unfortunately sound rushed. I had to listen a couple of times to understand what the vocalist was saying as the vocals sound really fast, which is a shame as the instrumental is brilliant, but the vocals do let it down just a little bit. The bassline is certainly the foundation and is prominent within this track.
The tone of the song never changes, especially the vocals as they sound the same throughout the song. There is no umph to them. I feel this also lets the song down. Overall it sounds great and the message portrayed in this song is emotional, I just think the vocalist has some work to do and will absolutely nail the next track!
