‘Raining (It Don’t Stop)’ is the second single from The Kowloons’ debut EP following on from earlier release, ‘Can We Go Faster’.
‘Can We Go Faster’ was a slight disappointment with a sound that was more fitting to the other end of the M62, it just didn’t quite capture the vibe of earlier demos and releases. This time, with ‘Raining (It Don’t Sop)’ The Kowloons have released an unmistakable piece of classic scouse rock. A future anthem that puts The Kowloons firmly on that enviable list of Liverpool bands that matter, yes this track is what the city is all about.
Despite the song’s subject matter of disillusionment, dissatisfaction and discontentment, this is no moping moment. Expect to hear the joyous chorus ringing out from festival crowds next summer once this stunning track has rightly claimed its anthemic status.
The Kowloons travel to London for their capital debut at the Troubadour supporting JW Paris on the 11th of October and have a massive hometown show supporting The Kairos at Liverpool 02 Academy on the 8th of November.
