We review the new single ‘Volumes’ by Team Leader

What is better than one single being released by Team Leader? That’s right, TWO! Back with double single ‘Volumes’ and ‘Should Be’, the indie-pop outfit create melodic music that pushes boundaries. Sometimes between rock, folk and indie, Team Leader are certainly showing they’re masters of their own craft.

Recorded at Joel Harries’ studio, the track was further mixed by Joel and mastered by Tall Trees Audio Mastering.

Looking at “Volumes”, the track details being a stranger in a seemingly idealistic town. Centred around homesickness and loneliness, it feels like the perfect time of year to release this number.

Musically, the track is cinematic and sounds like the lovechild of Radiohead and The Notwist.

“Should Be” is an honest account of the longing for a parent living in another country – this feels even more relatable due to restrictions being put in place over the Winter period. Worried about when we will see our loved ones again, this is a hard listen but definitely vital.

Gorgeous, spacious tracks with fantastic musicianship, Team Leader are certainly going to be staying in my ears for a while.
