New fuzz-rockers Toy Parlour have been shaking up the streets of Brighton for the past year with their first 3 singles. Now they returned this year with a fiery fourth single, ‘Love Me’.
This new single is ladled with a super crunchy grunge-rock sound, opening with suspenseful, dynamic drums and harsh, screeching guitar rips.
The vocals at first feel soft and raspy, reminiscent of hardcore bands like Korn. But they then burst into awesome Beastie boys-esque cries.
As the song progress, the guitar Melodie’s build in ferocity alongside progressively crashing drums. The final descent into chaos is the peak of the track. hardcore slow section alongside total head banger moment.
With a final descent into chaos, the track closes with a slow hardcore section, met with death metal screams- for me, the peak of the track and a total head banger moment.
Toy Parlour are unafraid to combine a myriad of influences making for a super dynamic and hard-hitting track. As a fellow Brightonian, I absolutely loved it- so excited to see what’s next for them.
