Here at RGM we headed down south to Sundown Festival this year to see what all the hype was really about.
Located and built around Norfolk Showground, the fest is graced with multiple DJ tents (one of which is hosted by Jägermeister) and the long anticipated MainStage in collaboration with Kiss FM.
Neon jumpsuits, open shirts and rave goggles flood the usually quiet Showground as people prepare for what the Saturday has to offer.
First on the roster was Jamaican superstar Amaria BB- her stage presence incredibly uncanny. The audience grew as she took the stage and hyped festival goers up, without even really trying.
She sang fan favourites ‘Slow Motion’ and ‘Secrets’- encouraging onlookers to ‘dance’ and ‘bring the energy’. This was the perfect kind of act for an early afternoon set and definitely set the tone for the acts to follow.
Next up was rising star Miraa May, after recently dropping a track with Jorja Smith, her performance was something I was patiently waiting to catch.
Bringing the sunshine with her, she performed songs ‘Nobody’ and ‘No love’. The crowd singing every word back to the young artist- confirming she was a clear fest favourite.
After breaking for lunch, we caught the insanely talented Ms Banks. At the top of her game, she brought banger after banger. Fans even made signs out of cardboard boxes they had found at the festival for the female rapper to see.
‘Snack’ and ‘Bop Daddy’ were among the songs on her tongue in cheek set.

As evening broke, Sigala took to the stage with his fully immersive DJ set. Fire, smoke machines and strobe lighting gave that dance festival feel and brought a different type of performance to fans.
Performing a mix of original tracks and remixed club classics, Sigala brought in the biggest crowd of people yet and it’s no wonder why.
As crowds grew increasingly excitable, UK rap superstar Digga D joined the stage in expected fashion with at least 20 of his mates and fellow performers.
Spraying the crowd below with water and leftover drink, fans went wild for his TikTok trending tunes. Soon I’m sure to become a legend of this generation.
After a long day, it was finally time for Saturdays headliner- AJ Tracey. Known for his catchy bars, and legendary collaborations- fans flooded the main stage to catch a glimpse of the West London Rapper. Running onto the stage with his personalised Tottenham shirt its no wonder this performer is as hyped up as he is.
Singing classics like ‘LO(V/S)ER’ and ‘Fashion Week’ people gather closer to the front to get a better view of the rapper. As fans get restless her assure them ‘they will get Thiago Silver soon’ a cult classic performed usually with fellow UK rapper Dave.
As promised, he closes the set with this tune- bringing fire and smoke to the set.
A perfect end to an extremely high energy and non stop festival. A fusion of both Dance tent and Rap/R&B music.
