WHAT’S COMING UP AT BEARDED THEORY FESTIVAL 2022?

A cracking line-up is on the cards for this year’s Bearded Theory Festival. The multi-award winning annual event has earned numerous accolades, including the UK’s Best Family Festival at the UK Festival Awards, and in 2014 it won “Promoter of the Year” award at the UK Festival Awards and Festival Kidz Silver Award.

In 2013, after being shortlisted for many years, Bearded Theory finally won Best Small Festival at the UK Festival Awards and a Festival Kidz “Gold Award”.  This year the event will be headlined by no other than punk legend Patti Smith, alt rock pioneers Placebo, and psychedelic wonders The Flaming Lips.

Another unmissable act is Punk-folksinger-songwriter Frank Turner and his band The Sleeping Souls will take to the stage with an impressive eight album back catalogue filled with classic singalongs. One of the UK’s most successful solo artists of the past decade, Frank Turner will be one of the most unmissable acts of the weekend.

Also appearing in the beautiful grounds of Catton Hall across the weekend are goth-rockers The Mission, post punk upstarts shame, indie-pop chanteuse Amy McDonald, bass-slingin’ maestro Peter Hook & The Light, 2 Tone veterans The Selecter and one of the most influential guitarists of all time, Wilco Johnson.

The event also features a variety of comedy, DJ’s as well as activities for kids and family friendly entertainment. With other live acts still to be announced, 2022’s Bearded Theory is certainly not one to be missed. The event runs from the 26th to the 29th of May and there are still weekend camping as well as day tickets available.
