Jonn hates to hear his voice laid bare, Rat was never a fan of playing acoustic guitar – he’s the noise monger, the guy with infinite delay, chunky distortion and a wrist that does 200rpm.

Now Miles has bullied them into recording 14 songs in 4 days at the foot of the Long Mynd and somehow, he’s captured this Ned’s Acoustic vitality with aplomb.

25th Jan The K’s, O2 Ritz

The K’s were born and soon after drafted inexperienced lead guitarist Ryan Breslin following discussions at an after-party they had all attended. Breslin, no stranger to the big stage, was being hired as a session guitarist touring America supporting The Who and playing festivals alongside the likes of Aerosmith and Deep Purple. He was impressed with the unmistakable energy of vocalist Boyle and felt The K’s could be the vehicle he needed for his own head-on approach to guitar playing.

The band’s debut single ‘Sarajevo’ was an instant hit on music streaming sites, picking up fans and playlists alike and was quickly followed by their first headline show at Manchester’s Deaf Institute selling out 2 months in advance. More recently the band has sold out venues such as Gorilla and Manchester Academy 2.
