I actually started writing the song almost 3 years ago now which is mad! I had just been ghosted by this awful guy who I had been dating for quite a few months and had treated me like crap. I was really upset about it. I started thinking about why I was always going for the “bad boys” and why I was constantly putting up with people treating me badly. I asked myself whether I felt I was worthy of more? This concept turned into an incredibly self reflective song. To this day I unfortunately still go for the bad boys, but I am definitely learning to value myself more, and now realise I deserve princess treatment. I laugh at some of the low quality narcassistic men I used to chase after. It’s embarassing to think about.
